Shrimp Tacos

Shrimp tacos consist of cooked shrimp, garnish, and sauce. The sauce is what sets it apart. Any reasonable taco seasoning can be used for the shrimp. This can also be served with steak.
Ingredients
- Shrimp
- 1.5 lbs. Peeled Shrimp
- 1.5 Tbsp. Taco Seasoning
- 1 Tbsp. Olive Oil
- 0.5 tsp sea salt1i>
- Cilantro Sauce
- 0.5 cup Cilantro
- 0.5 cup Sour Cream
- 0.25 cup Mayonnaise
- 0.25 Cup Pickled Jalapenos
- 1 Green Onion1i>
- 1 Large Garlic Clove
- 1 Pinch Sea Salt
- Garnish
- 12 Small Flour Tortillas
- 1 Red Onion
- 8 Oz. Cotija (or Monterrey Jack) cheese
- 2 Cups shredded cabbage
- Remaining Pickled Jalapenos from Garnish
Instructions
- Fill food processor with 0.5 cup Cilantro, 0.5 cup Sour Cream, 0.25 cup Mayonnaise, 0.25 Cup Pickled Jalapenos, 1 Green Onion [ONLY THE GREEN PART], 1 Large Garlic Clove, 1 Pinch Sea Salt. Blend on high until mostly smooth and place in refrigerator.
- Prepare garnishes in small bowls
- Dice red onion
- Set out shredded cheese packet
- Set out remaining Pickled Jalapenos
- Place 2 cups shredded cabbage in a large bowl. It will later be mixed with 0.25 cups of cilantro sauce.
- Drain package of shrimp and add 1 Tbsp. Olive Oil, 0.5 tsp (2.5ml) sea salt, and 1.5 Tbsp. Taco Seasoning. Shake until evenly coated.
- Cook shrimp. Like 2 minutes on one side and one minute on the other. Don't overcook.
- Remove shrimp from heat with slotted spatula and place in bowl for serving.
- Mix 0.25 cups of prepared Cilantro Sauce with 2 cups cabbage and serve in bowl.
- Plate everything and eat.
